Mrs. Rachael "Butch" Frances Wastler ,70,of Thurmont, MD passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Junior Wastler.
Born December 29, 1941 in Lewistown, MD she was the daughter of the late Silas Pierce and Lillie Mae Hahn Rice.
Mrs. Wastler worked at Sagner's for 15 years as a Spreader and Marker. Butch loved hunting, fishing, bird watching, sitting on her porch, cutting grass and taking care of her home. She was also a member of the Amvets Post # 7 and the American Legion Post # 168. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her three daughters Vicky Linton and husband Charles of Yellow Springs, Kimberly Conder of Thurmont and Anna McManus and husband Chris of Emmitsburg; grandchildren Chasity Linton, Justin Conder, Bradley Conder and Amber McManus; sisters Olivia Ann Hoffman and husband Grayson of Frederick and Hazel Emogene Deyton and husband Ray of Frederick and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son-in-law Greg Conder, her grandson Hunter McManus and numerous brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 5-8 PM where a funeral service will be held Friday, June 15 at 11 AM. Rev. Tom Fralin will officiate.
Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
