Prudence Ramsburg

Prudence R. Ramsburg of Thurmont, MD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Citizens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frederick, MD. She was born November 5, 1919 to Charles and Ada (Hyde) Gearhart in Hagerstown, MD. Prudence was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Maynard M. Ramsburg; siblings, Genevieve (Jack) Miller, Helen (Russell) Cluck, William (Mary) and Charles (Faye) Gearhart she is survived by her daughter Judy Hoffman of Thurmont
Prudence worked at the Thurmont Shoe Company; she was an active member of the Thurmont Senior Center, and sang with the "Canaries" and loved music teaching herself to play the piano and guitar.
The family wants to thank Dr. Syed, her nurses, hospice team and especially all the staff who cared for her on the memory care unit of Citizens.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Stauffer Funeral home, 104 East Main Street, Thurmont, MD on Sunday from 2-4 pm and where funeral service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or the Frederick County Humane Society
