Preston Shafer
October 8, 1942 — March 31, 2010
Mr. Preston Shafer, 67 of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Wednesday, March 31st at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Ruth Marie Shafer who passed away in 2005.
Born October 8, 1942 in Frederick he was the son of the late Emery and Alice Shafer.
Preston enjoyed fishing and bowling and he loved Elvis Presley. He retired from Taney Village.
He is survived by his five sisters, Edna Hurst, Betty Rohrbaugh, Nancy Bengston, Linda Shafer and Wanda Shafer. He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and his great great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Bob Shafer and Roger Shafer and a sister, Ruth Horkey.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, on Thursday, April 1st from 7:00-9:00PM.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday April 2nd at 11:30 AM with Rev. Sandi Evans Rogers officiating.
