P. Maureen {Junior} {Van} Van Sant

Mr. P. Maureen Junior Van Van Sant, 87 of Frederick, MD., died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Betty Lou Young Van Sant and his late first wife Lucille Condon Van Sant.


Born March 4, 1919 in Mt. Airy, MD, he was the son of the late Printess W. and Margery Naill Van Sant.

Mr. Van Sant was a member of the Linganore United Methodist Church. He was past president and charter member of the Libertytown Unionville Lions Club. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #1067 and the Fraternal Order of the Moose, Lodge #371. In earlier years Mr. Van Sant farmed for thirty years. He later was manager at Massers Motel for 23 years and was a school bus contractor for thirty nine years. He was active in the Frederick County School Bus Contractors Assoc.

Mr. Van Sant is survived by his children Margery Getzandanner and husband Richard of Union Bridge, MD, Jerry Van Sant of Frederick and Michael Van Sant and wife Debbie of Mt. Airy, his step-son Steven Albaugh of Frederick, five grandchildren Patty Getzandanner Hanes and husband Glenn, Mary Van Sant, Dawn Sulick, Jesse Butt and Britni Van Sant, two great grandchildren Jessie Hanes and Shelby Hanes, Sisters and brothers Annabelle Biddinger, Allen Van Sant, Ruth Bennett and Donald Van Sant, and her sister-in-law Marjorie Van Sant. Many nieces and nephews also surive. He was preceded in death by his brother Hanford Van Sant.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md on Sunday, February 11, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 12, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Beverly Stang officiating.
Interment Mt Olivet Cemetery.
