Phyllis Trumpower

Phyllis Lorraine Trumpower, 89, of Boonsboro, MD, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Julia Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown, MD.

Born on December 8, 1931, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ronald Stouffer and Thelma Isabell (Gruber) Stouffer.

Phyllis graduated from Boonsboro High School, class of 1949.

She was a seamstress and worked at Fairchild and later in life retired from London Fog.

Phyllis was active in numerous organizations including Mt. Lena United Methodist Church, the Apple Dumpling Gang, and the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her loving husband of  70 years, James W. Trumpower, son, Philip Dean (Laura) Trumpower, of Boonsboro, MD, Daryl L. (Sandy) Trumpower of Hagerstown, MD, grandchildren Brock J. Trumpower of Hagerstown, MD, Rachel L. Trumpower, of Hagerstown, MD. Siblings Dale N (Martha) Stouffer of Boonsboro, MD, Joyce M. (Robert) Brining-Scotten of Hagerstown, MD, Jay W (Betty) Stouffer of Maugansville, MD and Dennis R. (Vickie) Stouffer of Boonsboro, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sister, Carol Jean Smith.

A celebration of Phyllis's life will take place at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Mt. Lena United Methodist Church, 21234 Mt. Lena Road in Boonsboro, MD with Pastor Ron Kurtz officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00-2:00 pm, before the start of services.

Interment will be at Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery in  Boonsboro, MD following services.
