Phyllis Stup

Phyllis Ward Stup of Walkersville passed away peacefully on December 18, 2016.   She was born September 17, 1929 in Clear Spring, Maryland.  She was the daughter of the late William and Corinne Ward.
She was married for 57 year to Marion E. Stup.  She worked at the L'Aiglon  Apparel, Hagerstown, Maryland from 1945-1949.  She also worked in the
cafeteria at the Walkersville High School for 14 years.  She was an active member of the Utica Lutheran Church, Utica, Maryland.She married in 1949 and moved to Frederick, Maryland where she resided at the family farm and enjoying taking care of the household and family.She was preceded in death by her husband,  Marion E. Stup, son, Richard E. Stup and siblings, Lee Ward, Glenn Ward, William Ward, Thelma Haugh and Ida Blanch Hull.She is survived by her sons, Ronald E. Stup, Edgar A. Stup, Sr. and his wife Winifred L. ,7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren  numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue Walkersville, MD 21793 on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 1:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. Services will follow at 2:30 p.m.  Pastor Albert Lane will officiate.
Interment Glade Cemetery, Walkersville, MD.The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Glade Valley Center, who made certain she was well cared for.In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Utica, 10625 Old Frederick Road, Thurmont, MD 21788
