Phyllis Spielman

Phyllis Olene Spielman , 80, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, Maryland.
Born on December 28, 1936, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Owen F. and Grace E. (Prather) Hess. Her husband, Franklin Spielman predeceased her April 3, 2016.
Phyllis is survived by her four daughters, Cindy Spielman of Boonsboro, Cathy Myers of Williamsport, Cristy Smoot and husband, Kevin, of Boonsboro, and Cally Apicella and husband, Joseph, of Boonsboro; sister, Glenda Stroop of Staunton, VA and brother, Harold E. Hess of Seymour, IN; six grandchildren, Kendall, Candace, Carlee, Taylor, Jeremy, and Julia; and two great- grandchildren, Daphne and Keegan.
She was preceded in death by sister, Velma Jenkins.
A Celebration of her life journey will take place at 12 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 East Salisbury Street in Williamsport, Maryland. Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, Maryland.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rehoboth United Methodist Church's Room to Grow Fund.
