Phyllis Jean (nee Bath) Clark, 89, of Rockville, Maryland, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, September 18, 2017 at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, Olney, Maryland.
Born on March 29, 1928 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Philip H. and Jane Petrie Bath.
A homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Clark worked for the Navy Department in Washington DC until her marriage in 1947. She was happily married to the late George W. Clark for 50 years, until his death in 1997. She was a long time member of Millian Memorial United Methodist Church, Rockville and enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family, volunteering at church and going to yard sales with friends.
Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her beloved son, George D. Clark, brothers Walter Lingebach and Philip H. Bath, Jr., and sister Margaret Hannaway.
Left behind to mourn her loss are sister, MaryLou Coffey of Florida,; daughter-in-law Elaine Clark Koehl of Frederick,; daughters, Susan DeLizia of Little River, South Carolina and Sharon Wright, of Waterford, Virginia,; sons, David Clark of Rockville and Kevin Clark and fiance Allana Mason of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Christine Caffey, Kelley Smith, Stephanie Wright, Benjamin Koehl, Stephen DeLizia, Christopher Wright, Michael DeLizia, Joseph DeLizia, and Tori Clark; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will also be lovingly remembered by dear friends Sue Petro, Dolly Tsang, and Jo Hagner.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
