Mrs. Phoebe Morgan Rice, 68, of Frederick, MD passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Rice.
Born October 27, 1943 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Lillian Miller Morgan.
Phoebe was a graduate of Frederick High School and prior to her retirement she worked for Fredericktowne Eye Care. She was a member of Brook Hill United Methodist Church where she was part of the group Friends without Partners. Phoebe was very social and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading and dancing. Phoebe was part of the 4-H, a member of the Towne and Country Homemakers Club and a Weight Watchers leader.
She is survived by her daughter Kerri Rice of Frederick; son Scott Morgan of Frederick; grandchildren Adam and Brian Morgan; brother Richard Morgan, niece Kim Morgan, great niece and great nephews Erin, Josh and Michael Spurrier and daughter-in-law Sharon Morgan. She will be greatly missed by her grandpets, Romeo and Sophie.
She is preceded in death by her son Todd Rice.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held Thursday, February 23 at 11AM. Pastor Linda Warehime will officiate.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
