Peter Fenwick Smith

Mr. Peter Fenwick Smith of Frederick went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2009 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Cathy L. Roberts Smith.

Born June 23, 1957, in Frederick, he was the son of Clarence Fenwick Smith of Frederick and the late Mary Russell Hendrickson Smith.

Pete was a 1975 graduate of Frederick High School. He worked at Fredericktown Bank and FCNB Bank for many years. He worked for a short time at Eastalco. He was currently working and attending South End Baptist Church which he truly enjoyed. He loved serving the Lord.

Pete is survived by two sons, Michael F. Smith and wife Mindy Stamer Smith of Elizabethtown, PA, and Stephen W. Smith and wife Christina Eury Smith of McGuire AFB, NJ.

Three brothers, Ames R. Smith and wife Sheila of Purcellville, VA, David M. Smith and wife Dorothy of Baltimore, MD, and Philip H. Smith and wife Patricia St. Andre of Myersville, MD.
Three sister-in laws; Margaret Harrell and husband Danny, Jean Esworthy and husband Wayne, Barbara Fogle and husband Craig; Two brother-in-laws; William Roberts and fiancee Kim, and Charles Roberts and wife Cindy. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Tuesday, June 9, at the South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Drive, Frederick.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at the church on Wednesday June 10, at the Church at 11:00am. Pastors Kenneth Stalls and Jason Lang will officiate.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pallbearers will be Douglas Fogle, Ryan Fogle, Nat Fogle, Scott Esworthy, Jeremy Esworthy, Jeremy Smith, John Smith and Pete Smith, all nephews of Peter.
