Mr. Peter Joseph Fitzgerald, 53, of Orrtanna, PA, formerly of Deale, MD, died Sunday, July 10, 2016 in Emmitsburg, MD. Born September 24, 1962 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Thomas S. and Dolores L. Sicilia Fitzgerald, Sr.
Mr. Fitzgerald owned his own business, Fitzgerald’s Auto Service, in Emmitsburg, MD. His hobbies were antique cars and motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, April Marie Fitzgerald of Milton, DE, one brother, Thomas S. Fitzgerald, Jr. and wife Abby of Berkeley Springs, WV, one sister, Allyn M. Patterson and husband Willard of Berkeley Springs, WV, five nephews and significant other Sheri Vance. He is preceded in death by his brother, Steven M. Fitzgerald.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 10AM at St. Anthony Shrine Parish, 16150 St. Anthony Rd. Emmitsburg, MD 21727. Father John J. Dietrich will be the celebrant.
Interment will immediately follow Mass on Saturday, July 16, at St. Anthony Cemetery.
Memorial contributions will be accepted for Peter's daughter April Marie Fitzgerald.
