Perry Dixon

July 18, 1950 — October 25, 2013

Mr. Perry Dixon, 63, of Frederick, MD passed away on Friday, Oct 25, 2013 after a long
battle with lung cancer.

Born July 18, 1950 he was the son of the late William and Hazel Dixon.

As a young man Perry had a love for trucks and tractors. He often worked on rebuilding and maintaining the family's vehicles and farm equipment. He was a well-known dairy/crop farmer and worked on the Dixon family farm. After attending school he became a heavy equipment operator. After the death of his parents he then owned and operated the family farm. He was also the caregiver of his mother whom passed away in 2000. Perry was known as an outgoing individual with a kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Wheeler and husband Allan of Walkersville and three brothers Larry Dixon of  Frederick, Harvey Dixon and wife Kathy of Frederick and Bradford Dixon and wife Ellen of Adamstown, four nephews, three nieces, three great nephews and one great niece. He was preceded in death by a  brother, William Silas Dixon who passed away in a farming accident.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Frederick County for their loving care.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, October 30, from 6:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm

Private interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Donations may be made to (Kline House) Hospice of Frederick or to the Regional Cancer Center of
Frederick.
