Peggy Sue (Flook) Reeder, 57, of Myersville, Maryland, passed from this life to the next on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born on May 6, 1958, in Hagerstown, she is the daughter of Richard Lee Flook, Sr. and Josephine Estelle Flook of Myersville.
Peggy Sue was a 1976 graduate from Middletown High School.
Following high school, she was employed at Ingalls in Middletown and also at Zayre's. She later worked at Doc's Hunger Traveler Restaurant in Myersville before starting Reeder's Day Care in 1985.
Peggy was a lifelong member of the Myersville Church of the Brethren, where she had been a very active participant in the youth group. She was also active with 4-H and was an Avon representative for a short time.
She loved all things purple, enjoyed flowers, and would pass time sitting on her porch and watching the hummingbirds. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and aunt who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gale U. Reeder; two children, Rebecca Jo Reeder of Frederick, Maryland, and Jason M. Reeder and fiancé Mary of Boonsboro, Maryland; two sisters, Vickie and husband Ricky Doub, Sr. of Myersville, and Sherry and husband Kurt Miller, Sr. of Middletown; two brothers, Richard Flook, Jr. and Bradley Flook, Sr., both of Myersville; many nieces and nephews, as well as a lots and lots of friends. She will also be missed by her dog "Harley Lou" and she now has the opportunity to pet her lost loving companion "Maggie."
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Katie Lucille Reeder; and a nephew, Kurt Miller, Jr.
A funeral ceremony in celebration of Peggy's life journey will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Donna Ritchie-Martin will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Grossnickle Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Myersville.
The family will recieve friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the funeral home.
