Mrs. Peggy Lou Wolfe Burrier Pere, 78, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away at the Frederick Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 31. She was the wife of the late Joseph Pere and her first husband, the late John A. Burrier.
Born May 10, 1933 in Frederick, MD., she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Pauline Mae Cole Wolfe.
Mrs. Pere was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, dancing and was an avid bingo player. She worked as a housekeeper and retired from Frederick Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her children Donald Dixon and wife Debbie of La Plata, MD, Linda D. King, Wanda Wachter-DeGrange and husband Corky all of Frederick, Edith De Grange of Walkersville and Pauline Harris and husband Michael of Ijamsville. Ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Robert Wolfe and wife Patricia of Frederick, Tiny Ausherman of New Windsor, Henry L. Wolfe and wife Diana and Pauline Leach and husband George of Frederick. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her sisters Betty Riddle, Stella Smith and her brothers Kenneth and Richard Wolfe.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, April 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where services will be held Thursday, April 5, at 1:00 pm.
Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery
