Mrs. Peggy Lorraine Knight Myers, age 76, of 18717 Mount Lock Hill Road, Sharpsburg, MD, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.
Born Dec. 2, 1930 in Dargan, MD, she was a daughter of the late Edward McComas Knight Sr. and Elsie May Myers Knight.
She was a retired employee of E.J. Fennel Co. in Hagerstown.
She was a member of Samples Manor Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Brown Myers, whom she married in 1959; three children, Delmas Knight of Sharpsburg, Susan Talbert of Keedysville, MD, and Nancy Knight of Dargan; five brothers, Maurice Knight of Boonsboro, Edward Knight Jr. of Hagerstown, Ronnie Knight of Sharpsburg, and Terry Knight and Vincent Knight, both of Keedysville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Myers; one son, Donald B. Myers II; and one sister, Kathleen Hetzel.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Samples Manor Church of God. Pastor Michael T. Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samples Manor Cemetery, c/o Mrs. Frances Grim, 2430 Chestnut Grove Road, Sharpsburg, MD 21782.
