Peggy S. Main

Peggy Shannon Main, age 90, passed away at her home in Brunswick on Friday, January 17, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was the daughter of the late Shannon D. Langley and Juanita Donovan Langley. Her husband Jay W. Main, Jr. passed away in 2017. they were married for 65 years

Surviving children are: Cynthia Ann Cannon and husband Roy, Sherry Christine Main, Michael Jay Main and wife Denise all of Brunswick, and Patrick Shannon Main and wife Beverly of Jefferson; Grandchildren: Jessica Ann Cannon, Brandy Nicole Madison, Sarah Nicole Main and Patrick Shannon Main, Jr. She was preceded in death by her two sisters: Beverly Haller of Brunswick and Donna Price of Texas.

Peggy was a life long resident of Brunswick. She devoted most of her life as a wife, mother and grandmother. Her employment included various positions in sales. She also had a special interest in children with disabilities and worked as a bus aide for Rock Creek School in Frederick, MD.

Later years were spent trailer camping in the mountains of West Virginia with her husband. She considered nature a blessing. Her hobbies included collections of teapots and elephants. Peggy was a beautiful seamstress and expanded to crochet and needlework. She was a member of the Frederick Baptist Temple.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, where a celebration of Peggy's life will begin at 12:00 pm. Pastor John Y. Seay will officiate. Interment will be at Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick, MD.
