Mrs. Peggy Marie Fambrough, 89, life-long Brunswick resident, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roy Deerwood Fambrough, who predeceased her on March 21, 1996.
Born May 30, 1927 in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Michael K. Taylor and Bertie Irene (Arvin) Taylor Frye.
She was a wife, loving mother, and a homemaker, which she greatly enjoyed. In young years, Peggy enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, trips to Florida with her husband, reading, and listening to her husband play in his band.
Peggy was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Compher (Samuel) of Lovettsville, VA; Melody Grove of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Amy Willett (Stephen), and Emily Davis (Andrew); three great-grandchildren, Curtis Willett, and Elise and Lily Davis; two sisters, Doris Stroup of Middletown and Wanda Jones of Berryville, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Rick Grove; and two sisters, Jane Cage and Vida Smith.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, 13266 Taylorstown Rd., Leesburg, VA 20176. Officiating will be Pastor Tony Forstall.
