Peggy Eyler

Ms. Peggy D. Eyler, 87, near Libertytown, MD, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at Kline Hospice House. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Born February 9, 1936 in Walkersville, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Anna Mary Irene (Keeney) Eyler.
Ms. Eyler worked at several sewing factories in her youth, including Sagner's, and retired from the Frederick Trading Company.
She was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved to read books, watch movies on the Hallmark Channel, play dominoes with family and friends, watch and feed the birds, and enjoyed her great-great niece's dog Molli.
Ms.Eyler is survived by her niece, Bonnie Snyder and husband Jim, who she made her home with near Libertytown for the 14 years, a great niece, Nicole Norwood and husband Robbie of Thurmont, a special great-great niece, Cheyenne Norwood of Thurmont; two nephews, Wayne Eyler of Woodsboro and Gary Eyler of Libertytown; and a cousin, Gene Young of Alabama.
She will be remembered by special friends Joann and Emerson Burrier, Nancy Thomas, and the Zimmerman Family.
She was preceded in death by her siblings; Wilma, Pauline, Alice, Hallie (George), Tom, Jake, Rudell (Louise), and Harry (Mag); a niece, Nancy Bradley and nephews Kenny Eyler, and Hayes Ruthvin Jr.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services which will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, MD on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jerry Cline will be officiating.
Burial will follow services at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Woodsboro, MD.
A special thanks to her hospice nurse, Felicia, and the aids that cared for her while she was at home, and thanks to Kline Hospice House for their support and care.
