Peggy Jean Edens, 70, of Mount Airy, MD, passed away on Sunday April 5, 2015, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville.

Born January 24, 1945 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of late Hoyt Hunberd Morrison and Ruth Iola Jones. Peggy worked for Montgomery County Public School Transportation Department for 43 years. She also enjoyed going to Bingo every Thursday Night at Damascus American Legion and loved her Baltimore Orioles.

Surviving are four children: Brenda L. Queen of Mt. Airy, Glenda Balesk and husband Pete of Erie, PA, James L Queen, Jr. and wife Jackie of Monrovia and Richie Edens and wife Holly of Mt. Airy; 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; two sisters: Barbara R. Foster of Greenville, SC and Brenda A. Svehla and husband Bob of Ellicott City; two brothers: Hoyt H. "Butch" Morrison, Jr. of Woodstock, VA and James Leonard Morrison and wife Wanda of North Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by three brothers: Marshall Howard, Jack Howard, Richard Howard and a sister, Joyce A. Arrowood.

The family will receive friends form 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, April 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 10 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main St., Mt. Airy with Rev. Steve Larson officiating.

Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy
