Paul "Jimmy" Sylvester Souders, 78, of Boonsboro passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown
Born on November 8, 1938 in Mt. Lena, he was the son of the late David Henry and Elsie Mae Wilt Souders
Paul graduated in 1957 from Boonsboro High School and was a member at Virginia Avenue Church Of God.
He was employed at Gabriel Industries as a material handler and later worked at PRI/SAIC Ft. Detrick, Frederick.
An avid Yankees Fan, He enjoyed watching ball games with his Family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Beth Taylor and his beloved dog, Bunny
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Julia "Judy" Souders of the home;children, Sherry Wiles (David), Kimberly "Kim" Martz (Jimmy), Tony Souders (Sheri), Pamela "Pam" Dodson ( Ralph); grandchildren, Candi Wiles, Tamara Shew, Ashley Snider, Christopher "Bud" Dodson, and Mark Perez, Jr.; brother, Charles Souders. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
A funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, May 8, 2017 in the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor A. Paul Harne will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boonsboro.
Memorial donations may be made to Washington County Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
