Pauline A. Grossnickle 95, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Carroll U. Grossnickle who passed away 1996.

Born on October 18, 1920 in Ellerton, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Russell "Pete" Wiles and Letha Alice Wiles.

She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Brethren.

She was a lifelong homemaker and farmwife who loved her family. She also enjoyed quilting and baking her well loved cinnamon rolls.

She is survived by her four children, Carolene Perry and husband Alden, Ellis Grossnickle and wife Stephanie, Gary Grossnickle and wife Cindy, Linda Grossnickle and significant other Bill Horine, eleven grandchildren, Alicia, Karen, Betsey, Kristen, Nate, Kathryn, Joshua, Carrie, Amy, Sara and Joanna, 25 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Russell P. Wiles, Jr., Thomas Wiles, Janice Hawkins, Rejean Fogle, Yvonne Georg and Thomas Wiles. She will be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She is predeceased in death by a brother, Austin C.J. Wiles, sisters, Doris Grossnickle and Marie Harshman and a great grandson, Jackson Matthew Grossnickle.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15th at 11:00am at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville where the family will be present to receive friends from 10:00-11:00am. the Rev. Dr. Peter C. Myers will officiate services.

Interment will be in Glade Cemetery.
