Mr. Paul E. Rippeon Sr., 84, of Middletown died on Thursday June 18, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Annie Martin Rippeon.
Born on January 24, 1925 in Frederick he was the son of the late Roy E. And Rennie Kolb Rippeon.
His life ended peacefully with his daughters by his side, he suffered from dementia.
Mr. Rippeon served in the U. S. Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Moose, American Legion, Amvet and the Eagles.
Surviving are three daughters June A. Sill and husband Paul, Judy A. Aird and husband Rob and Melinda Earley all of Frederick. Grandchildren Joey, Julie, Jeffrey, Jason, Sarah and Shawnna. 7 Great Grandchildren. Sisters Mildred Whipp of Thurmont and Lucille Wages of West, VA. Daughter in law Carolyn 'Susie Rippeon of Montana. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Frisky who is now living with Paul's daughter Judy.
Mr. Rippeon was preceded in death by a son Paul E. Rippeon Jr, brothers Junior, Bernie, Petie and Merhl Rippeon and sister Pauline Grossnickle.
Visitation: Friends may call on Monday June 22, from 6-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday June 23 at 1:00pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Utica Cemetery.
