Mrs. Paula Fee (Swanson) Magill, 95, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, February 12, 2015, at Lorien Assisted Living in Mt. Airy, Maryland.
Born on April 17, 1919, in Aurora, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Nels and Margaret Swanson. Her husband, Elmer W. ”Bud” Magill, preceded her in death in 1986. After an exciting career as a professional dancer, Mrs. Magill founded and operated The Aurora Dance Studio, and later her own gift shop, Yours Ours, Etc. In retirement, Mrs. Magill was an active volunteer at Mercy Center Hospital, Aurora, Illinois and a sales associate at The Little Traveler in Geneva, Illinois. Since 2005, Mrs. Magill has lived in Maryland near her son and daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Magill is survived by her loving son, James "Jim" Magill and his wife, Janice, of New Market, Maryland; her two grandchildren, Krista (Magill) Martinko and husband, David, of Ijamsville, Maryland and David Magill and his wife, Corey, of Adamstown, Maryland. She is also survived by her dear great-granddaughters, Paige and Molly Magill, both of Adamstown.
Funeral services will be held February 21, in her hometown of Aurora, Illinois, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora.
