Mr. Paul Roy Stottlemyer, 97 of Thurmont, Maryland passed away on April 21, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Beatrice Firor Stottlemyer for 72 years.
Born August 19, 1915 in Thurmont he was the son of the late Emory and Mary Rae Stottlemyer.
He was a long time resident of Washington, DC before he moved back to Thurmont in 2006.
Paul owned and operated the Lobby Pen Shop in DC where his customers included the White House and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was an original member of the Redskin Marching Band and a longtime member of Eldbrooke UMC.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three children, Paul F. Stottlemyer of Thurmont, J. Neil Stottlemyer and wife Vicki of Arlington, VA and Susan Stottlemyer Milloy and husband Bob of Olney, MD, grandchildren, Allen Stottlemyer, Jeff Stottlemyer, Brendan Milloy, Robbie Milloy and Kelley Milloy.
He is preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday April 25th at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 East Main St., Thurmont with Rev. DeLawder officiating. The family will be present to receive friends one hour prior. Interment will be at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont.
