Paul Rogers

December 21, 1973 — April 27, 2018

On April 27, 2018, Paul Douglas Rogers, 44, entered into the loving arms of his Savior in Heaven after an asthma attack. Husband of Heather Rogers and a resident of Brunswick, Maryland, Paul was born in Hood River, Oregon on December 21, 1973.

Paul was his wife’s protector-from any bad dream and all bad days. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his daughter, Allison, with his whole heart-more than anything in this world. His family finds deep comfort in knowing that he’s reunited with and holding his beloved son, Quinton.

He was a brave man who served his country in the United States Army, a firefighter and EMT. Paul had a long career in the IT field as a Senior Systems Engineer, most recently with Loudoun County Government. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, his fierce love for his family, his ability to jokingly push the buttons of anyone he encountered, and for being awesome.

Those who knew Paul could always count on him for the most current political debates-he was ready to "red pill" you at any moment. Ever the envelope-pusher, Paul had a particular knack for sparking conversation. He adored his amazing dogs Bailey and Muffin.

In addition to siblings and the myriad of family who grieve his loss, Paul leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Heather, and his daughter, Allison Rogers; his parents Eileen & Ronald Lewis and Douglas & Gwendolyn Rogers; and his parents-in-law Francis & Linda Buell who loved him as their own son.

Viewings will be held on Friday, May 11, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (1100 N Maple Avenue Brunswick, MD 21716).

A funeral service will be held at Frederick Baptist Church (5305 Mt. Zion Road, Frederick, MD 21703) on Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. Graveside to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens (9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD 21701).

Paul will forever be remembered by those who love him, and he will be missed more than words can convey.
