Paul Posharow

Paul Posharow, 73, of Frederick MD passed away surrounded by his family, October 9, 2016.  Paul was born in Russia on July 29, 1943.  He and his family lived in various refugee camps, throughout Europe before settling in Philadelphia, PA.

Paul graduated from Union College in New York with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science.  Upon graduation, he worked at IBM Corporation where he eventually retired.  While at IBM, Paul met his wife Nancy and enjoyed 47 years of marriage.

In his free time, Paul enjoyed genealogy and researching his roots. He proudly served in a leadership role in the Kuban Cossacks Society. Paul played golf and enjoyed spending his summers with his grandchildren at the Outer Bank, NC.

Paul is survived by his wife Nancy, his daughter Tamara Savage and husband Joe, his son Paul Jason Posharow and wife Jamie; and his beloved grandchildren Connor, Evan, Zachary, Natalie and Rachael.  He is also survived by his brother Alexander Posharow and wife, Tania and Sister Maria Aponte and husband, George, also many nephews and nieces.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and Ivan Skubak. In lieu of flowers, we would love to have donations made to www.mendedhearts.org in Paul’s memory.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, October 13th from 2-4 and 6-8pm.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 14 at noon at St. Vladimir’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Jackson, New Jersey.
