Paul Lang Minch, 82, of Frederick, Maryland, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his home in Frederick, MD. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Lorraine Minch for nearly 20 years.
Born on November 5, 1938, in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Paul Minch and Josephine (Thorn) Minch.
Paul proudly served his country in the US Army as an MP finishing his tour of duty at Ft. Detrick in 1961. He soon afterward was hired at Ft. Detrick as a clerk typist and rose to the ranks of Chief of Special Operations for Defense Department where he retired after 39 years of service. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing weekend football, softball and baseball. Paul especially enjoyed playing golf with his best friend CB. And going to Oriole games with his wife Carolyn and rooting for the Washington Football team. Paul also enjoyed traveling with his wife Carolyn, and looked forward to meeting up with his sister every year in NJ. He was a member of the International Community Church where he served as an usher. Paul grew up in first era of Rock and Roll and enjoyed listening to the 50's rock and roll music.
In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by, Daughter, Dawn R Reinhard and husband William; sister Mae Minch; two nieces, Tracy Jones and husband Joe and Sheri Hendrickson and husband Guy of NJ; five great-nieces and nephews; Step-Daughter, Linda Easter; step-granddaughter, Christine Mamula, and step-granddaughter, Kimberly Easter. He will also be missed by his loyal friend CB.
He was preceded in death by his step-grandson, Robert Easter.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Jean.
A brief memorial service will be held, for friends and family that wish to join them, at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, January 19 at the International Community Church, 123 Byte Drive, Frederick, MD 21702.
Interment will be private.
