Paul Eugene McKenzie

Paul Eugene McKenzie, was a loving and devoted husband to Kimberly Ann Mckenzie, and a wonderful uncle, brother, and friend. After a lengthy battle with cancer, he passed away at his home with his wife at his side on September 9, 2024, at the age of 66. He is extremely loved and missed by his wife, brothers & sisters, nieces & nephews, and his numerous friends. 

Paul was born on November 13, 1957, he was the son of the late Paul Charles McKenzie and Mary Jean (Heiland) McKenzie. He is survived by his brother Gary McKenzie and was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Moses Duckworth. 

Soon after graduating from Valley high school in Frostburg, Maryland, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served as a vehicle recovery specialist and tank operator from 1976 - 1983. After the army, Paul worked in tree services and later became a fleet mechanic at Normandy Carpets.

Paul was known for his gentle and kind spirit. He enjoyed working on his ‘78 Trans Am, building bonfires, playing billiards, and watching the Raven’s and NASCAR on Sundays. He loved spending time with his family & friends, & his black cat, Tillie. And of course, he loved his “doll”, Kimberly. 

There will be a celebration of Paul’s life on Saturday November 9, 2024 at his home in Mount Airy, Maryland.
