Paul Leaman of Frederick, went to be with his Savior on January 1, 2021. Born August 13, 1934 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Estelle (Shaub) Leaman. He was the husband of Shirley (Kirby) Leaman for nearly 61 years. Mr. Leaman was a graduate of Waynesboro High School. Paul served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1958 aboard the USS Coral Sea as an IC2. Later he attended Tennessee Temple School of the Bible In Chattanooga, Tennessee, graduating in 1971. Mr. Leaman served as a missionary to Papua New Guinea from 1972 to 1976 with BIMI. Paul later returned to the Frederick area and worked for several different electric companies.
Paul Leaman was a member of People’s Baptist Church for many years where he formerly served as usher, Sunday School teacher, treasurer, chairman of the deacons, chairman of the pulpit committee and +of the mission’s committee. He also enjoyed singing in the church.
Mr. Leaman enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, oil painting, playing the guitar and keyboard, writing poetry, reading, and working in his garden.
He is survived by daughter Karen Harrell and husband James of Frederick, son Tim Leaman and wife Christine of Damascus and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
