Paul Leslie Hoopengardner Sr., 52, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at his home. Born February 9, 1962, in Frederick, he was the son of the late James W. and Marjorie C. Hoopengardner of Brunswick.
He is survived by his wife, Tina of 33 years; his son, Paul (PJ); and his two daughters, Kelly, and Katy.
Paul was a 1980 graduate of Brunswick High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve. He was employed at D.R. Horton. Paul was an avid hunter, went on many hunts in Canada, Montana, Texas, Maine, and New Foundland. He enjoyed fishing, camping, watching Redskin games and he loved spending time with his family.
In addition, he is survived by one brother, Thomas E. Hoopengardner Sr. and wife, Christine; and three sisters, Doris Harding and husband, Arthur, Robin Fowler, and Teresa MacDonald and husband, Kevin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by two brothers, James W. Hoopengardner Jr. and Robert L. Hoopengardner and a nephew, Thomas E. Hoopengardner Jr.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Friday, February 13th at 2:00pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick with Rev. Tim May officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 1:00 until service time at 2:00pm.
