Paul William Hoffman, 87, of Friendship Lane, Boonsboro, died Friday, February 1, 2008 at his home.
Born January 8, 1921 in Lisburn, PA, he was the son of the late Earl W. and Sarah F. Grissinger Hoffman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Hoffman, January 4, 2000.
He is a veteran of WWII serving with the United States Army.
He co-owned and operated Earl W. Hoffman & Sons, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro.
He is survived by four daughters, Beverly DeBaugh of Boonsboro and Ruth Leizear of Boonsboro, Sharon Semler of Martinsburg, WV and Susan Schuck of Hagerstown; two sons, Kenneth Hoffman of Boonsboro and Robert Hoffman of Williamsport; one sister, Doris Hoffman of Lisburn; two brothers, Harry Hoffman of Lisburn and Ray Hoffman of Boonsboro; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 5 at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. The Rev. Joseph I. Donovan, III will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
