Mr. Paul Everett Gorman, 67, of Ocean Pines, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born May 6, 1947 in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of the late George and Rita Gorman.
Paul was a longtime resident of Prince George's County. He retired in 1989 as a U.S. Air Force Captain. He relocated to Ocean Pines in 2004. It was there that he enjoyed golfing and playing poker every Monday night at the clubhouse, as well as hosting the Thursday night poker game twice a month. Paul was a founding member of the Ocean Pines Corvette Club.
Paul also enjoyed Fantasy Football and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Michael Gorman and wife, Heather, of Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Brianna, Hailey, Hannah, and Brynn; his loving girlfriend, Cheryl Smith, of Ocean Pines; his cousins in Louisiana, Rita, Katherine, Ronald, Carl, Judy, and Ann; and as well as extended family in Pennsylvania.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m.
Inurnment will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
