Paul Devilbiss
November 22, 1931 — July 25, 2016
Mr. Paul I. Devilbiss, 84, of Walkersville, MD passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Glade Valley Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Flora Devilbiss for 18 years.
Born November 22, 1931 in New Midway, MD he was the son of the late George and Hilda Mertz Devilbiss.
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He owned and operated his own appliance store prior to his retirement. Paul was a mason and was also a member of the Walkersville Fire Hall and the American Legion.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his two step-children Deborah Hall and husband Robert and Christopher Sweat and wife Mary; four grandchildren; numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his step-daughter Linda Sweat.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 4-7PM where a funeral service will begin at 5PM. Pastor Matthew Beers will officiate.
Interment will be private.
