Paul Clay

Mr. Paul B. Clay, 90 of Mt. Airy, MD., died Monday, June 7, 2010 at College View Center.

Born January 25, 1920 in Frederick County, MD., he was the son of the late Jesse and Bessie Barnum Clay.

Mr. Clay was owner of Paul B. Clay New and Used Farm Machinery for 25 years, also selling camping supplies and miscellaneous equipment. He then started Paul’s Tractor Sales. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #371, A.T.A., Tuscarora Gun Club, Skyway Trap and Skeet Club, in Florida, and Heart of MD., Motorcycle Club. Paul won many awards with trap shooting in various parts of the country. In earlier years he raised, trained and raced thoroughbred horses at various tracks in the Mid Atlantic Area. Paul enjoyed traveling throughout various parts of the world, watching the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins.

He is survived by three children Dale Clay of Mt. Airy, Barry Clay of Frederick, and Bonnie Clancy and husband Michael of Olney, six grandchildren Robert Clay, April Clay, Jill Sherman, Sherry Levering, Casey Lucas and Veronica Clay and seven great grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his many family members and friends, especially Hilda and Albert McPherson, Kenneth Clements, Mary Russell and his third wife Evelyn M. Clay. He was preceded in death by his first wife Doris A. Clay and a son Thomas G. Clay..

Services and interment will be private.
