Paul Boyer

Paul A. Boyer, 74, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away the evening of Monday, May 7, 2018 at Sterling Care (formerly Reeders) in Boonsboro, MD.
He was born in Silver Spring, MD, on December 27, 1943 to the late Albert H. and Helena A. Boyer. He was retired from the National Bureau of Standards after 39 years of service.
Paul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia M. Boyer, son, Matthew P. Boyer and wife Becky and three daughters and spouses: Susan E. and Dewitt Howard, Patricia E. and George Folk and Kathleen M. and David Long. He is also survived by his sister Sharon and his brother Stephen.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandson, Wesley R. McDermott.
Paul was an avid sports fan. He attended the Hagerstown Sun's games and enjoyed watching the Orioles and Redskins as well as many other sporting events.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
