Patsy Sanger

Mrs. Patsy L. Sanger, 80, of Knoxville, MD passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Theodore Sanger.

Born February 3, 1936 in Trego, MD she was the daughter of the late Bruce W. Danner and Gladys M. Smith. Patsy was raised by her grandparents Elmer and Nellie Smith.

Patsy worked for Doubleday and Vitro Laboratories. She enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed creating new dishes. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Cheryl R. Emmett of Hagerstown MD and Robert G. Smith of Cedarville OH ; four grandchildren Keith Leatherwood, Matthew Leatherwood, Derek Smith, and Kristin Callon; five great-grandchildren Ryan Leatherwood, Carleigh Leatherwood, Caitlyn Leatherwood, Eliana Callon, and Naomi Callon; brother Lawrence W. Danner; half brother Chester Stottlemyer; one niece Roxanna Monck and three nephews David Perkins, Tony Perkins, and Kevin Perkins, Several cousins, two special Roxanne Thompson and Gary Smith. Patsy was predeceased by a half brother Elmer L. Perkins.

The family will receive friends at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 10:30-11:30AM where a funeral service will begin at 11:30AM. Pastor Josh Voigt will officiate.

Interment will follow at Samples Manor Cemetery.
