Patsy Nestor

Mrs. Patsy Ann Hennessey Nestor, 78, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Patsy Ann was born December 11, 1932 in Morgantown, W. VA. She was the daughter and only child of the late Moyer Edward and Ruth H. Lynch Hennessey.

Her family relocated to Alexandria, VA in 1940. At the start of WWII her Father worked as a machinist at the Torpedo Factory making torpedoes', while her future Father-in-Law also worked there as a carpenter making the wooden grates that would take the torpedoes' to war. Patsy Ann graduated from George Washington High in Alexandria, VA in 1949. Soon after she met her future husband Guy Douglas Nestor. They were married in 1950 for 61 wonderful years. They started their family in Alexandria, VA with the birth of 2 sons, Michael then David. They then moved to Rockville, MD were they had their 3rd son Mark. They built their own house in Ijamsville, MD and made it their home for the next 50 years.

Patsy Ann was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress at Sagner Clothing Manufacturing, Co. in Frederick, MD. After the closing of Sanger she went to work at H. L. Hartz Clothing Manufacturing, Co. also of Frederick, MD until she retired. She was an avid collector of all glassware. She was also a lover of animals and surviving was LuLu her Basset Hound.

She is survived by her husband, of 61 years, Guy Douglas Nestor; 3 sons Michael Douglas Nestor and his companion Bernice Gambell of Frederick, MD, David Lynn Nestor and wife Lisa of Olney, MD and Mark Edward Nestor and his companion Tom Dooley of Denison, TX; 8 grandchildren Rebecca Nestor, Laura Nestor, Matthew Nestor, Chastity Nestor, Danielle Nestor, Kimberly Nestor, Shawn Nestor and Stephani Dooley. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren.

Arrangements will be taken care of by Stauffer Funeral Home of Frederick, MD. Online condolences may be made at www.staufferfuneralhome.com. A private memorial and inurnment will be conducted by the family at a later time at the family's discretion.
