Mr. Patrick Michael Plunkard, 57, of Frederick passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Born March 17, 1956 in Frederick, MD, he is the son of Franklin and Helen Hoffman Plunkard. He is survived by one daughter, Chasidy L. Whetzel and husband Steve of Mercersburg, PA; 2 Grandsons, Dain and Daniel Polyniak; 1 Brother, Don Plunkard and Fiancé Tammy Conrad. He was a member of Doubs Epworth United Methodist Church in Adamstown, MD. He graduated from South Carroll High School in 1974. He worked in Sales for Peoples Lumber and Supply as well as Dennis Kitchen and Bath both of Mt. Airy, MD. He is a past member of the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Co. and past president of the Mt. Airy Rotary. Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, MD 21771 from 7-9 PM on Friday, February 28, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM at the Mount Olivet FSK Chapel, Frederick, MD on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Rev. Paul Papp will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Doubs Epworth United Methodist Church, 5131 Doubs Road, Adamstown, MD 21710.
