Mrs. Patricia Masser Pastore, 87, of Adamstown, MD passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born March 17, 1927 in Clarke County, VA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Virginia Wynkoop.
She was first married in February 1950 to Paul G. Masser of Frederick who died in 1987. Her second marriage to Col. Joseph A. Pastore (Ret.) was October 26, 1991 who predeceased her in 1997. Both were employed by Hood College prior to their retirement in 1992.
Mrs. Pastore was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Sunday School in Feagaville. She was also a member of the Frederick Chapter, National Society DAR.
She is survived by her son Paul Gregory Masser and wife Barbara of Timonium; two grandchildren Lauren and Josh of Timonium; several nephews and one very special niece Teresa Lou Emmart of Berryville, VA.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy W. Emmart and Theresa Mock and her brother-in-law Carlton S. Emmart.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10 at 11AM, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 5463 Jefferson Pike, Frederick, MD. Rev. Ken Gill will officiate and the sermon will be given by Rev. Ed Donnald.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund c/o Rev. Ken Gill, 5524 Feagaville Lane, Frederick, MD 21703.
Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, VA.
