Patricia L. McClanathan

Patricia L. McClanathan, 84, of Pasadena, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, October 21, 2024 at AccentCare Medstar in Brooklyn, Maryland

Born on December 27, 1939, in Mount Lena, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest William Hoffman and Bessie Jeannette (Kephart) Hoffman.

She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School, Class of 1957.

Patricia enjoyed her career working at MVA and then at NSA before her retirement.

Family was very important to Patricia, she greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crabbing, collecting stamps, embroidery, and traveling.

She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Eugene McClanathan, son, Jeffrey McClanathan, daughters, Sherri McClanathan, Melinda Cook (husband William), and Jacqueline L. Grein.

Grandchildren, Kevin & Kyle Fairchild, Kristin & Joshua McClanathan, Samantha Cook, Kelly Vaccaro, Amy & Mitchell Grein, James Young and also six great-grandchildren.

Siblings include Shirley Taylor, Belva Hoffman, Harold Hoffman, Betty O'Brien, Carolyn Suranno, DianeTrickett, Donald Hoffman, Gary Hoffman and Debbie Ridenour.

Predeceased by: Curtis McClanathan (son), Debbie McClanathan (daughter-in-law), Don Grein (grandson) and Richard Hoffman (brother).

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland 21713.

A celebration of Patricia's life journey will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the funeral home. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery in Boonsboro, Maryland.
