Patricia Lorraine Getridge

Patricia Lorraine Getridge, 93, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Memory Care Unit, Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, MD.

Born in Hagerstown, MD on October 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Earl Samson and Ethel L. (Michael) Kefauver of Boonsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Getridge, in 2009 after 62 years of marriage.

She retired from Londontown Manufacturing Company, Boonsboro, MD after many happy years’ working there. She also worked at Porter Chemical Company, Hagerstown, MD and at the Boonsboro Legion in the late 1950s. 

She is survived by her beloved son, James F. Getridge, Jr. and her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Gary Pryor; her granddaughters and husbands, Erin and Jonathan Gollogly and Stephanie and Geoffrey Kelly. Also surviving are five great grandchildren: Stacia, Noah and Sean Gollogly; and Marceline and Jonah Harvey; and the following in-laws: Gary and Linda Getridge, Pearl Marshall, and Jeannette Knight and many beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind two very dear friends, John and Nancy Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thurman E, “Sammy” Kefauver and Bernard C. Kefauver and a special niece and her namesake, Patricia Kefauver Danner.

The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the outstanding staff of the Memory Care Unit at the Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home for their years of providing love and care for “Miss Pat”. Also a thank you to Hospice for providing extra comfort and care in her final weeks.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18 from 6 - 8 PM at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 1:30 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to service time. Interment will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
