Pastor Robert Henderson Waters, Sr.

Pastor Robert Henderson Waters, Sr. , 80, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 4, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Doris V. Waters.

Born on April 20, 1943 he was the son of the late Henderson and Anna  (Johnson) Waters.

Robert was a pastor for 51 years.  Serving Poplar Grove Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove Christian Community Church, Fairview United Methodist Church, Simpson Christian Community Church, Keys Chapel United Methodist Church, West Falls Christian Community Church and most recently Faith Church of God.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two grandsons, Robert Waters, III and Aaron Waters and one sister Linda Luster and sisters-in-law, Tammy Jackson and Christy Miles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Waters and three children, Stephanie Waters, Robert Waters, Jr. and Tisa A. Waters. 

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD where a celebration of Robert's life journey will take place at 11 am.  Pastor Bryant will officiate.  Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in  Silver Spring, MD.
