Pansy Jane Stover, 94, a lifelong resident of Tilghmanton, Maryland, most recently of Golden Living Center in Hagerstown, Maryland passed from this life on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Born on August 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Andrew and Bertha (Dogherty) Stover.
Pansy was employed with Londontown Manufacturing in Boonsboro and she was a volunteer at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro as well as for the Red Cross. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Fairplay Volunteer Fire Department.
She was a member of the Manor Church of the Brethren in Boonsboro, where she participated with the Cheerful Workers Sunday School Class as well as the Senior Citizen Group.
Pansy loved to bowl and will be deeply missed by her loving family.
She is survived by one nephew, Donald L. Stover and his wife Mary of Smithsburg, Maryland; her sister-in-law, Marie Stover, also of Smithsburg; two great-nephews, Robert and Matthew Stover; a great-niece, Leslie Stover; two great-great-nephews, Devon and Donavon Stover; and two great-great-nieces, Te'a Arch and Lilli Stover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry F. Stover, in 1990; and her nephew, David Stover, in 1971.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the Manor Church of the Brethren, 18511 Manor Church Road in Boonsboro. Rev. Joy Zepp will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
