Pamela Powell Willard, 51, of Thurmont, MD passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.


Born July 19, 1960 in Waynesboro, PA she is the daughter of Janice Waneta Nunemaker Powell of Thurmont and the late Curtis Powell, Sr.

Pam graduated from Catoctin High School. She enjoyed playing softball when she was growing up. At the age of 19 Pam had an automobile accident and has been under hospital and nursing home care since 1980. The family would like to thank Citizens Care and Rehab, all of Pam's doctors, everyone that visited and sent cards to her while she was under their care.

In addition to her loving mother she is survived by her five sisters Linda Plumley and husband Bill of Thurmont, Lorraine Sims and husband Michael of Falling Waters, WV, Patricia Sweeney and husband John of Thurmont, Susan Crouse and husband Ed of Foxville, Md and Diana Stultz and husband Ronald of Cascade, MD; brothers David Powell and April of Fairfield, PA and Curtis Powell, Jr. of Thurmont; nieces and nephews James Andrew, Chad Kerns, Matthew Crouse, Zachary Stultz, Chastity Ramsburg, Alyvia Powell, Lisa Apel, Jeffery Sims and Scott Sweeney and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9PM where funeral services will be held Friday, December 23 at 11AM. Pastor James Cobentz of Pioneer Baptist Church will officiate.

Donations may be made to Citizens Care and Rehab 1900 Rosemont Ave., Frederic, MD 21702 or Thurmont Ambulance 27 N. Church St., Thurmont, MD 21788.

Interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Cemetery.
