Orpha O. Renner 94, of Walkersville, passed away on Saturday December 8, 2012 at Northampton Manor Nursing Home, Frederick. She was the wife of the late Melvin Hummer Renner who died in 1997.
She was born in Pennsylvania on September 18, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Elmer Franklin and Goldia Meyers King.
She was a member of United Church of Christ, Walkersville, The Knights of Pythias, Rainbow Belles, Walkersville Homemakers, and the Walkersville Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children Melva Gantt of Ft. Washington, Connie J. Caddington and husband Ward of Hughesville, and James Renner and wife Alice of Cocoa Beach, Fl. Also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren and 3 Great great grandchildren. Sister Betty Cleckner of Florida. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great grandson Nicholas Clayton, brothers Fred, Woodrow and Loy King and a sister Frances Gloster.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2012 from 5-8pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where funeral services will be held on Thursday December 13, 2012 at 11:00am. Pastor Philip Curran will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.
