Mrs. Ora Lee Ackerman 93, of Frederick, passed away on June 1, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Ackerman.
Born on November 24, 1919 in Twilight, South Dakota she was the daughter of the late Todd and Bertha Keegan Culver.
She was a member of Circle of Friends, she worked in the church nursery and loved to rock babys, she also enjoyed sewing, bowling, watching and attending sports especially football and most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children Caryn Kuster and husband John of Frederick, Curt Ackerman of Ellicott City and Susan Yager of Frederick. Also survived by six grandchildren Michael, Lynn, Claire, Pam, Brian and John. Eight great grandchildren Zachary, Logan, Devon, Kate, Jack, Dustin, Jameson and Madison. She was preceded in death by her son Clay Ackerman, sisters Florence Howard and Eldora Licking and brothers Omar Culver and Cecil Culver.
Visitation will be held on Friday June 7, 2013 from 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 11:00am. Reverend Tim May will officiate. Private interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
