Oliver "Ollie" Tyler

Oliver Deotis Tyler (Ollie), 73, of Frederick, Maryland departed this life on Sunday, October 7, 2012 after a lengthy illness at Northampton Rehabilitation Center.  He was the beloved husband of Stella Tyler for 48 years.
He was born December 9, 1938 in Cumberland, Virginia.  He was the son of the late Willie R. and Parkie M. Tyler.  After leaving Cumberland, Virginia, he spent his childhood in Turners Station, Maryland.  He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and a graduate of the Culinary Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.  He was a cook for USAMRIID at Ft Detrick Military base for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife Stella he is survived by his three daughters: Tanya Pollard of Frederick, Lisa Lewis and husband Larry of Baltimore, Cathy Cleckley and husband Bill of Frederick; four grandchildren: Macio Miller, Antwon Miller, Marc-Anthony Chevalier and Ciara Miller all of Frederick, Maryland.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends fishing, traveling and playing cards with his Son-in-laws and the Kins and Friends Social Club.
The family will receive friends and family for the viewing at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD  21702 on Friday October 12th from 2-4 and 6-8pm.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13th at 11am at the Stauffer Funeral Home.
Interment will immediately follow at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
