Oliver "Ollie" Coblentz

Oliver "Ollie"  Louis Coblentz, 68, of Jefferson, Maryland, passed on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his home.

Born on March 9, 1950, in Frederick, MD he was the son of  the late Austin Coblentz and Elaine (Smith) Coblentz.

He was a 1968 graduate of Middletown High School.

Ollie was a lifelong resident of  Jefferson and worked his whole life on his families dairy farm Catoctin View Farm.

He began his career as a carpenter for Fred Rudy Builders in Middletown and then became owner and operator of Braddock Builders. He was a Lifetime Member of the Braddock Heights Volunteer Fire Company. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Ollie was a proud member of the Cherry Lane Social Club.

He is survived by son, Todd Coblentz and significant other Tammy, three brothers, Jimmy Coblentz and wife Ellen, Steve Coblentz and  Allen Coblentz and wife Joyce, aunt Cathy Krieg and uncle Walter Coblentz. He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He is preceded in death by a sister-in-law Louann Coblentz.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick. A memorial service celebrating Ollie's life will begin at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by family friend Garth Patterson.
