Mrs. Olive M. Ritenour, 78, of Frederick, MD went to be with the Lord onWednesday, June 19, 2013 at Heartfield's Assisted Living. She was the wife of the late Ralph A. Ritenour.
Born on April 24, 1935 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Nellie Moore Holt.
Mrs. Ritenour was born and raised in Lewistown where she later met her husband and married. They traveled with the United States Army, and later settled in Woodbridge, VA where she raised her four children. Olive was the QVC "queen" and an avid Redskins fan. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, cross- stitching and watching ice skating.
She is survived by her children Linda Bell of Dover, DE, Tina Hensley( Robert) of Thurmont and Robert Ritenour (Christine) of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren Lisa Bell, Robert Bell, Ashley Stephens, Erin Maddox and Dawn Spitzer; great-grandchildren Robert Bell, Jr., Thomas Bell, Cayden Maddox and Logan Stephens; brother John Ramsburg (Joanne) of Frederick and sister Edna Gray (Nelson) of Lewistown; brother-in-laws Wayne Ritenour (Barbara) of Keymar and Harold Ritenour (Gladys) of Mobile, AL. Olive will also be remembered by her special friends Loretta Smith and Jackie Keyser.
She is preceded in death by her son Ralph Lee Ritenour.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 1-2 PM where a funeral service will begin at 2 PM. Rev. Elza Hurst, with Lewistown United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
