Okie G. Bonham Davis, 76, of Hagerstown and formerly of Silver Spring, MD, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. She was the loving wife of Herbert C. Davis for 55 years.
Born February 13, 1940 in Grayson County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Luna Luvena (Ball) and Wade Lugene Bonham.
She was a graduate of Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, VA. Okie enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Barry W. (wife Deborah) Davis of Hagerstown and Alan H. (wife Crystal) Davis of Davidsonville, MD; grandchildren, Kyle W. Davis, Austin L. Davis and Kelsey L. Davis; great-grandchildren, Logan and Lennox; sisters, Mary Lou Davis of Independence, VA and Ruby Taylor of Sparta, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, J. Rex Bonham and Raymond Bonham.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard, Mt. Airy, MD.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 7th at the Stauffer Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, MD with Pastor Brad Kefouver officiating.
A private graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 7th at the George Washington Cemetery, 9500 Riggs Road, Adelphi, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
